Tilia is pleased to be able to offer fun and educational classes in many aspects of the herbal culture. Everything from how to make herbal remedies; how to grow or wild harvest plants; to how to make soap and personal care items and much more.

We host great private events from birthday parties (children and adult) to pamper  for bridal or baby showers. We would be also be happy to create a unique event  just for you and your friends.

*Please note that to ensure safety for all we will be following the BC Health Directives regarding groups gathering during the COVID – 19 pandemic . Class sizes have been reduced to allow physical distancing and all participants will be asked to sign a waiver regarding their health (pertaining to COVID only)*

Introduction to Herbalism

Starts June to September 2020

In response to all the overwhelming requests we’ve received, Rachel Beck will be offering an exciting four month condensed version of her hugely popular Herbal Practitioner program. This course is designed for the herb enthusiast who wants to learn more in-depth ways to use herbs to help themselves and family & friends overcome common health ailments. It will include hands-on fun making herbal remedies and harvesting plants. This course is done as a 4 month program with two days of classes once per month. Wild Food Foraging

Saturday, May 23/20 – 9:30am -12:30pm 

This exciting class is led by naturalist Kim Asquith and will see participants going out into the Creston Valley to find edible wild plants. She will share the many ways that these plants have been used historically for food and the best times to harvest them. Dress for all types of weather and terrain      $49 + GST


Plant Identification in the Wild

Saturday, June 6/20 – 9:30am – 12:30pm 

Have you ever found yourself wondering “what is that plant?” when you are out on a nature walk and, despite flipping through guide books, you still can’t figure out the plant’s name?  Naturalist Kim Asquith and Herbalist Jessica Shearer will teach you the techniques for identifying medicinal  & food plants in the wild so you can have success when you go on your own. Dress for all types of weather and terrain.     Cost  $45 +GST
