Free Event – On Saturday February 15/20 at 11 a.m. we’re off to pick poplar buds (We’re so excited, it’s the first plant we harvest each year so we know Spring can’t be far off!). You’re invited to join us for this event at no charge. Just wear your old clothes, bring a container you don’t care about (poplar resin is hard to wash out) and dress for tromping around in the bush. This event will go ahead unless we have heavy rain or snow (drizzle we are tough enough for, right?!). If you’re not sure about the weather that day call the shop at 250-428-8866 to check that we are still going to be able to go out and harvest. Harvesting time will likely be about 1 1/2 hours. If you would like to learn how to make the buds into oil and salves we will be happy to show you after we harvest. The cost for this is $20 and includes supplies. This will last approximately a hour.
